ONearly finished a black and while star Diana mini case then i have 5 Diana mini cases ready to go on my Etsy shop. Woop. Need to get some Diana and flash cases done.

Yes she has eyes

She finally has eyes. She can now see. Im always a bit worried bout doin the eyes on my embroideries incase they don't match but there do. Thank Lordy.

Ear we go

Just glued earring stud posts on to some of my illustrations. I did print them on to the wrong plastic but they still came out brilliant. It's just me being fussy because i like my doodles to have pure white backgrounds. I think some of the earrings Will look better on the frosted plastic than white anyways. So my mistake may have been planned somehow, in a weird uncontrollable way.

Is it nearly christmas??

I have started to put some christmas tags on my new 2nd etsy shop. They are printed reproductions of one of my illustrations, in fact the illustration i had on my very own crimbo tags last year.

Embroidered drummer

Pretty happy with my embroidery so far. Im not sure what im goin to do for the back ground but for now im goin to continue hand stitching different browns in his hair and different blues etc on his coat. I need to dye his face as well. Just got to remember where i put my skin coloured dye that i made a while back. Likely case is that im goin to have to make some more. Im quite tempted to do an embroidery of the whole band. Will decide when I've finished this one. Rite off to sleeps.

Lazy Monday Morning

I can't believe i got to see the Foo Fighters play last nite. Also Biffy Clyro and Jimmy Eat World. Was a day i will definately remember. I have seen the foos and biffy play before but never Jimmy Eat World. I love them. Reminds me of younger days. I've wanted to see them play for years, like 12 yrs lol. And they're bringing out a new album. Excitement. Obviously foos and biffy were brilliant. I went with my sister to MK Bowl. Was packed. 65,000 people. Lovely day.



We decided to sit up at the ridge. No way i was going to get trampled in the mosh pit.

Only negative thing about seeing the foos yesterday was that i missed the Godmanchester Festival (Party in the park) I worked the 1st day on my mates beer stand (Sat 2nd) but had to miss yesterday which was annoying as it was the better of the two days. I missed the bands, and also getting paid. But was not going to miss foos, biffy and jimmy for it.

I have had one of my embroidery pieces featured in a lovely blog. My art deco beaded lady has been featured in folksy friday by blue forest jewellery. A wonderful blog.

New case and brooch

finally put my latest diana mini case on my etsy shop. hammering studs on to the cases is not one of my favourite things to do so i did put it off for a little while. but it's done now.

recycled blue checked cotton with hand embroidered squares with coloured embroidery silks. i wanted to do some hand stitch on the case but not over-whelm it. the case is lined with hot pink felt and the stud fasteners are bright orange. the seams are sewn with a pale pink blanket stitch. there are more photos on my etsy shop

i have also listed a small brooch. it's a printed illustration i have done of a churpy owl. he is bright, bold and quirky. perfect to be worn in all seasons.

i should really get ready for work. but at least i've got some new photos to work from that i can take with me. i'm really feeling the urge to do an embroidery. not done a proper illustrative embroidery for ages. hopefully my doodles will come out okays.

Trainness

Nothin like listening to a bit of Scott Matthews while train-ing it. I love visiting mates, but train journeys can be a rite arse. I forgot to pack any sewing this wknd so im relying on my fone fully. Music and Facebook are goin to have to get me through it. Then i have a few hrs spare b4 i have to go to work. Total gayness.

oh boy oh boy

I've not been up to too much today. Went in to work for a bit. Sorted out me bar ready for the prom we have 2moro eve. Got to make some cocktail menus as i've decided it's high time we spruce it up a bit and have some funky cocktails. Plus can try them out 2moro eve. See if any sell. We aren't the cheapest bar around, more functions and large events so i don't know how many 18 yr old prom goers are gonna get involved. £3.50 each or 2 for £6.00 i was thinking. Obviously need to make a profit, but not undermind our price range. Same sorta price as the bars and pubs in my town. Ou excited. Though i haven't actually tried most of the drinks i've picked. I've picked drinks we can easily do without investing in too much new stuff. hmmm... may have to have some strange drinks when im out 2nite.

This is my doodle i did last night. I'll probably end up sewing it. I mean, that's what it was originally drawn for. I only coloured it as it was something to do while watching the picture box.

Embroidered square Diana mini

Nearly finished this little beauty. Just need to add some studs. Think orange. Its been recycled from a tea towel which has Sat in my draw for ages and neva been used. So i decided to give it a new home. I actually think it was too funky lookin to be a tea towel. I've got just enough left to make something small with. Maybe a little purse. Embroidered of course.

a day wasted is a day wasted, sadly

im having a blaaaaaaaaaaa day. i don't know what i'm doing with myself. im trying to keep myself doing little things, making little things to sell but i kept deciding i don't like them and they're crap.

i want to get back to my machine sewing. i dont know how or what to do. arugh. total gayness.

Supersampler Cases

Finished my 2nd Supersampler case today. It's a white oil cloth with red stars, white felt lining and red stud fasteners.

The other case is a brown giraffe pattern cotton case with a brown felt lining and silver stud fasteners. Both cases are now for sale in my etsy shop.

i didn't do what i was meant to do.. oops

I was meant to do my sewing today. I obviously haven't. I met my mate Lesley and we took her dog Jess for a walk. Luckily it was sunny. We saw the cutest 5 month old long haired sausage dog, I'm not even going to attempt to spell the breed name. Sooooooo gorge. Called Slinky as well after Slinky from Toy Story. I so nearly put that wee little pooch in my handbag and toddled off home. I want Slinky. I am officially in love with him.

After that i went to work for a few hours. Boring when we have no functions on. Plus i don't get paid. Does mean i get things done that i keep putting off - such as bleaching saucers. Yes. Excitement i know. Cups yesterday - saucers today. I truly do know how to enjoy myself. Least the are all counted, boxed neatly and actually white once more. I can now keep track of them too. I will catch those caterers stealing our stuff. Arugh.

Anyhoo. I sat down to start sewing but a mixture of old waking the dead, time team special and family guy has very much distracted me and i do want to read some of my book. Would have so much more time to do things if we didn't have to sleep. Who the hell invented sleep. I love it, but does waste time. Right off to read book, or sew. Or both, or neither. Prob the latter.

Super sampler case

I decided to make a pattern for my super sampler. Not cos im bored of making Diana and Diana mini cases, but it's always nice to av a change. Im pretty proud of it. My first attempt of makin the other camera cases didn't always go to plan. I made a fair few scrap copies til i got it right. This case however has bloody worked first time so just got to cross fingers the next one works and it weren't just a fluke.

So tired but colouring time

Did a little bird yesterday, ok that sounds wrong. I coloured a bird Shrinky dink. Just finished work and should be going to bed as nearly half 2 but going to have a little colour. I feel the urge.

Finished, well nearly

Nearly finished. Would be finished if i hadn't just broke my stud fastener gadget thingy that holds them when you hammer. Obviously over used it, had it bout 10 yrs. Off to shops to get a New one. Plus an excuse to buy beads Woop Woop.

Sewing stole my sleep

I didn't even go to bed last nite when i said i was finished. I noticed that where i had hammered the studs on i bad crushed one of the beads. I just Cldnt leave it like that so i unpicked enough beads so i had plenty cotton left either side off the break to knot off. Don't want all the beads falling off. Then i attached the beads that i had removed. Finally sorted. Just need to take pic and put on etsy.

A day off work

Not done much today apart from sleep and sew. Started a New Diana mini case. Its mint green and has hand embroidery and bead work. I wanted to make a case that's a bit more Luxe than my otha cases. This is how far I've got.

tweed diana mini case?

ive been thinking about making some jewellery recently. although i still love my camera cases and am currently working on a commission i feel an urge to make some new things. so im going to do some doodles and see what happens.
